Symptoms of Acute Abdomen

  • Persistent, severe pain, swelling, and/or tenderness in the upper, middle, or lower abdomen
  • Guarding-involuntary contraction of the abdominal muscles
  • Rigidity-when abdominal muscles are tense and board-like
  • Fever
